What is CoCoozo
CoCoozo is a new-generation search engine for supporting large-scale proteomics research projects with vast amount of tandem mass spectrometry data.

CoCoozo performs parallelized high-speed database search with a set of MS spectrum data against existing protein sequence databases in order to identify proteins corresponding to the precursor ions from peak intensity patterns.

The unique features of CoCoozo include:
a) introduction of intelligent algorithms to maximize advantage of accurate mass spectrometry (Virtual Calibration method, patent pending),
and
b) implementation of parallelized and fully "on-memory" database search powered by large distributed memory space realized through the PC cluster technology.

The "CoCoozo" system is named after a Buddhism deity of Wisdom and Memory "Kokuzo" (See related sites). This WWW site provides free trial use of the CoCoozo system.
